LHS has launched its HomeSwap Direct mutual exchange scheme. Social housing customers of any LHS scheme using the National HomeSwap Direct search screens will now be able to search nationally for a home to swap with another social housing resident across all participating schemes. Customers in Derbyshire, Cambridge and Kent will enjoy immediate access to the National scheme through their existing LHS mutual exchange systems and more schemes are expected to follow suit soon.
The Government has introduced a new type of tenancy called "Affordable Rent" that can be offered by housing associations on a fixed term basis at a higher rent than other social housing. LHS has developed a toolkit for dealing with these types of properties within the Choice Based Lettings system using a series of drop down lists and fields to drive the adverts. Assessments needing validation are automatically flagged to your housing officers.
